Hi Spec Doorsets employees have benefitted from discounted bikes through the company’s first ever Cycle to Work scheme.
Hi Spec Doorsets made the scheme available to all of its employees including drivers, factory workers, sales and support staff.
The scheme supports a healthier lifestyle and encourages employees to improve fitness and relieve stress.
Under flexible pay and benefit arrangements Hi Spec Doorsets provided employees with a bike to use for cycling to and from work. The initiative provided fantastic savings on the retail price of the bikes through bulk discounts, and employees also made savings on tax and national insurance.
Through the scheme, which was delivered by Brooks Cycles based in Welshpool and Newtown, staff could choose from various cycle brands including mountain bikes, hybrids and road bikes, up to a total value of £400.
Hi Spec Doorsets Commercial Director Mark Margetts said: “The first round of the Cycle to Work scheme has proved popular with employees and we hope to offer it again in the near future.”
Hi Spec Doorsets Technical Administrator Alan Jones added: “I bought a bike using the Cycle to Work scheme. I found it difficult to make time to exercise each day so cycling to work has really helped improve my health and fitness levels.”
